Eligibility

All those who hold or have ever held a warrant or commission in any component of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and their surviving spouses - are eligible for membership.

Here are some of the reasons we believe you should join our Chapter:

• We are an independent, self-governing and self-supporting Chapter that is affiliated with National MOAA and seeks to promote the attainment of their goals as well as our own supporting goals and objectives
• We provide grass-roots advocacy on local, state and federal legislation
• We believe that we should "never stop serving" by being Community Ambassadors
• We provide a means to serve and strengthen support to the military of Southwest Oklahoma via:
  • An area university scholarship program for military families
  • Support of area Reserve Officer Training Programs (JROTC and SROTC)
  • Membership in the Comanche County Veterans Council
  • We sponsor the Military Welcome Center at the Lawton Airport
  • A strong connection with Fort Sill and its leadership
•     We provide camaraderie with a purpose via:
  • Chapter supported activities
  • Bimonthly membership meetings

Chapter memberships expire at the end of each calendar year through which you are paid in full.  Dues (irrespective of membership type - Regular, Surviving Spouse or Associate) are:

• $20 for single/current year 
• $40 for two-year
• $55 for three-year
• $75 for four-year (Pay by check only)
• $90 for five-year (Pay by check only)

If you prefer to pay by check, then make your check out to Southwest Oklahoma Chapter of MOAA and mail the check to SWOK MOAA, PO Box 2183, Lawton, OK 73502.  We will send you a receipt.
