Hello again fellow SWOK MOAA members!  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know I am thankful for belonging to the best chapter in Oklahoma!   

We had great meetings in September and November. The guest speakers brought us up to date on Oklahoma State Veterans affairs and on the VA Clinic at Fort Sill.  The meals and the fellowship were awesome!

 I’d like to thank all those who donated food and those who volunteered to assist with the Annual Fundraiser in September. It was very successful. We raised over $1900 that will help finance our chapter operations in support of veterans’ programs. 

For those of you who don’t know, your chapter earned the Five Stars Levels of Excellence Award and the Five Stars Harris Communications Award. We have won these awards every year that we have competed! This is a testament to your hard work in support of this chapter’s goals and objectives. Thank you!    

Please think about making a tax-deductible donation to our Scholarship Fund before the end of the year.  For those of you that are eligible, you can make a Qualified Charitable Deduction from your IRA.

Our next General Membership Meeting will be at 1130 on 14 January 2026 in the Prairie Building, Comanche County Fairgrounds. The invitations will go out in late December. I will give my annual Chapter Update Briefing, we will install our new Executive Board Officers, and Dennis Clippinger will provide an update on the Scholarship Fund.  We will be making a big announcement about the future of the Scholarship Fund. The meal will be brisket with all the fixings. Please let Dennis know if you plan to attend not later than 9 January 2026.
