Thought for the Week...

Endowed Chapter Scholarships

In 2014, the Chapter met it's long-term objective of funding a fourth nationally endowed scholarship.  A remarkable achievement considering we raised over $100,000 in just a little over six years.  Due to the generosity of our membership and friends of the Chapter, these scholarships are permanently funded.  For this effort we were awarded the "Eagle Chapter" designation by MOAA National.  While these scholarships are awarded by MOAA National, they have agreed to consider highly qualifed applicants from southwest Oklahoma as the priority.  We owe a tremendous thanks to the late Bill Furtado for shepparding this enduring accomplishment.

The selectees for 2018-2019 are:

  • Caitlin M. Rush - Lawton, OK
  • Britney N. Rush - Lawton, OK
  • Jordan Moore - Enid, OK
  • Anna High - Colorado Springs, CO
